School’s out….but there’s no vacation from hunger!!!!

Take a stand against hunger this summer with the FoodBank of Monmouth & Ocean Counties ‘Lemons Aid Hunger’ campaign.

For most children, the end of the school year evokes daydreams of fun & games and lazy summer days. Sadly, for many children in Monmouth & Ocean Counties, summer means a season of hunger. For children in need, going to school means getting at least one good meal a day. But during the summer months, these youngsters go hungry without that crucial school lunch.

The FoodBank of Monmouth and Ocean Counties’ ‘Kid’s Against Hunger Club’ knows how much kids want to make a difference! And with a little encouragement and a FoodBank lemonade stand, kids can use their talents and develop skills in business and at the same time, take pride in giving back to their community.

So, get ready for some fun with your family and friends this summer. It’s all here…Lexie and Lennie Lemon will tell you what you need to know and all the tools you will need to make your lemonade stand a success including terrific lemonade recipes and delicious lemon cookies. And when it’s over, you will get a ‘Lemons Aid Hunger’ recognition certificate. You can take your certificate back to school and show everyone that you care!! And don’t forget, you get volunteer hours too!!!
