Kid’s Change Hungeris all about kids helping kids.

You can save your change - pennies, nickels, dimes – in a special bank shaped like a FoodBank truck. The money you save can help kids who are hungry get the food they need.

Here’s how:

1) You can come to the FoodBank to pick up a Truck Bank for yourself and your friends, brownie or girl scout troop, club or class.  Some entire schools are also participating.  If your school would like to participate, you can download a School Registration Form here.

2)      Collect change in your FoodBank truck bank from friends, family and neighbors through April 17, 2009

3)      Bring the money you collect to your nearest TD Bank before April 17, and they will count your coins for free using their Penny Arcade.

4)      Bring your Penny Arcade receipt to the Teller and ask them to deposit it into the FoodBank’s account.

5)      The Teller will give you a Deposit Receipt.  You can then do one of the following:

School Participants:  Bring your receipt to school and give it to your teacher.

Other Participants:  If you wish to be acknowledged for your hard work, please mail your Deposit Receipt along with a Deposit Verification Form which you can download here to the FoodBank.  Our address is:

For Parents and Teachers:

Hunger and malnutrition contributes to poor attendance and low academic achievement.  Early academic success is the foundation for students to achieve higher academic degrees which is proven to be the best strategy to stop the cycle of poverty.

“KIDS” of all ages are encouraged to join in this fundraising effort.  The campaign is not limited to schools but is open to civic and youth organizations, clubs, corporations, individuals…big kids and little kids…everybody who desires to enact change through change can get a FoodBank truck or REGISTER their School TODAY!!
